Vintage 1969 Double cut Chet Atkins Country Gentleman. Features mahogany body, maple top & ebony fingerboard thumbprint inlays, Bigsby tremolo tailpiece, bar bridge & Filter'Tron pickups. Pre Arkansas build, made in Brooklyn, USA.
Refinished in the mid '70s by Merv Cargill; this 6122 has had extensive repairs done by Merv such as an expert rebind, refret and new bone nut. Although the original serial number has been removed during the refinishing process, the original pots are dated to 1969.
All original hardware aside the missing mute (the mechanism is fully functional within), one strap pin has been installed at the heel as well as a replacement on the lower bout. The original bridge has been replaced.
