Vintage Gibson Les Paul Custom 3-Pickup with Bigsby in Ebony finish made in 1960 with Gibson Hard Shell Case(Refin/Refret/Headstock Repair. This guitar features a solid double bound mahogany body with a maple top, mahogany neck and bound Ebony fingerboard with a bound headstock. Equipped with its Original set of Gibson PAFs in the neck/middle and bridge position. Controlled by 2 volume, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch comprised of its original Centralab pots dating to the 47th and 50th week of 1959. The 24.75" scale length neck has mother of pearl block inlays and tortoise side markers, it's received a refret with 22 vintage frets on a 12" radius with a slim taper profile. The hardware is comprised of it's original "Pat Pending" gold Grover Rotomatic tuning machines with kidney heads, a bone nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic Bridge with bigsby vibrato tailpiece and black top hat knobs with a 5-Ply black pickguard.
This guitar is in overall very good condition with some visible signs of play. Its had a refin at some point in its life with lacquer and It's had a refret /new bone nut at some point in its life as well. The head stock/neck shows some stress signs and we believe its likely had a headstock repair with this combination of signs. The rear of headstock/neck has some lacquer touch ups after its refin And one one edge touchup that does not appear to be lacquer, It has some finish splits, light scratches and a few dings/ dents. The gold is worn mostly away from the hardware to raw and has oxidation. The pickguard is slightly warped. The necks binding has shrinkage splits along some of the side markers. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Modified Marigold interior Gibson Hard Shell Case. (70s Gibson case modded to look like 60s)
