David Grissom spent years as the guitarist for John Mellencamp, and this guitar was purpose-built for that chapter of his career.
Special ordered in 1992 for the recording and touring of the Human Wheels album, this instrument was used on several national television appearances. As a player known for his tonal range and versatility across blues, rock, and heartland Americana, having a single guitar that could cover both the full resonant baritone range and the bright jangly 6-string register made all the sense in the world.
At 10lbs 7oz it has some heft to it, but the sonic options are virtually endless. Some slight cosmetic wear overall but in very good condition given the gigs it has seen.
Comes with a wide hardshell case.
