Good condition 1957 Martin 5-18 in natural. This is a beautiful sounding example of a late 50’s Martin small body acoustic, and one of the best I’ve heard. This example has the typical play wear, but was not abused. No top cracks. Normal pick wear near the pickguard. There is some very nice finish checking happening throughout the body and neck. One repaired back crack as pictured. Three tuning pegs have been replaced, but spin and hold tune nicely. Very lightweight example. Frets are old but play well. This example will need a neck reset as there is some buzzing on the a and g strings. Outside of the normal setup needs of an older acoustic, this is a very nice sounding 50’s Martin that would be perfect as a recording fingerstyle guitar etc. Non-original case included as pictured, which does not fit the guitar perfectly of course, but will be packed properly to ensure no damage. Willing to ship or drive a reasonable distance. Always open to offers!
