Vintage Sony F-95 dynamic microphone made in Japan. Originally designed as a compact communication and general-purpose recording microphone for Sony portable tape recorders and PA use.
The F-95 has a simple dynamic capsule with a mid-focused response and limited bandwidth compared to modern studio microphones. It produces a direct, slightly lo-fi tone that can work well for guitar amps, harmonica, sampling, tape experiments, and character vocals.
