CONDITION
Non-functional / requires service.
Unit powers on but is not currently studio-ready. It produces hum/buzz and audio output is inconsistent between channels. Because of this it is being sold as-is for restoration or servicing.
I am not a technician and have not attempted repairs. I want to represent it honestly rather than guess at the issue.
Cosmetically the modules and rack show normal age-appropriate wear for vintage studio gear but nothing unusual.
No returns due to the nature of vintage electronics.
DESCRIPTION
This is a pair of original Electrodyne 712L channel strip modules housed in an Orphan Audio rack with LA-5000 line amplifiers and external power supply with phantom power.
I purchased this for use in my studio but decided not to move forward with restoration work. The unit does power on, however it currently exhibits hum and inconsistent audio output, so it should be assumed to need servicing (recap/inspection/cleaning/calibration) by a qualified technician before use in a recording environment.
These are classic American console modules and are sought after by studios and technicians who restore vintage recording equipment.
Includes:
• Two Electrodyne 712L modules
• Orphan Audio rack with LA-5000 line amps
• External power supply
• Power cable
Selling strictly as-is for service/restoration.
Will be packed very carefully, padded, and fully insured for shipment.
