Burj Guitars Prototype Electro Spanish (ES) Figured Maple – Desert Midnight #2

This guitar is Prototype #2 from Burj Guitars, a UAE-based independent project focused on small-scale boutique electric guitar building. It was built as a proof of concept while developing the Burj Guitars brand and is offered as a one-off prototype, not a production instrument.

The guitar is fully playable, sounds excellent, and plays very comfortably. As this is the second prototype, the overall feel and execution have improved noticeably, particularly in terms of setup and neck feel. It should be viewed as a hand-built project instrument with character, personality, and room for refinement, rather than a factory-perfect guitar.

This instrument represents a real, finished build rather than a concept or display piece, and has been played, evaluated, and documented throughout the process.

Condition and Transparency

This is a prototype, and full transparency is important.

The polyurethane clear coat is thinner than ideal and slightly sunken into the grain in places
Colour bleed into sections of the binding, most noticeable around tighter bends
A small nick in the finish on the bottom horn from polishing
A small nick on the front lower horn
Two small bulges in the headstock veneer caused by minor clamping air pockets, only visible when light hits at a specific angle

None of the above affects playability or structural integrity.
