Jackson King V Pro 1995 - Dave Mustaine

I’m selling my very rare Jackson Dave Mustaine King V Pro Series guitar. It’s near-perfect condition. Literally, the only ding on this is the very tip of the headstock, and it’s just a small paint chip (see pic) and a little palm rubbing on the bridge. I’ve taken pics from every angle to illustrate this. 

This includes the original case which still has the same amazing smell it had in ‘95 when I special ordered this from my local guitar shop (I’m OCD with taking care of my things). It’s now time to pass this demon onto someone else who will love it as much as I did, but get more use out of it than I can. 

If you’ve been searching for this guitar, you won’t find one in better condition. And these are hard to come-by, so the time to act is now.

I’ve scanned the market and asked the Reddit community for guidance on pricing. I’ve priced this for what I think is fair based on previous listings, the rarity of guitar, and the fact that this is in EXCELLENT condition.

The King V Pro was introduced in 1993 and was the first Jackson model to have Dave's signature on the headstock. It was made in Japan as part of the Jackson Professional series. The series was discontinued after 1995, with the introduction of the USA made KV1. The specs of the KV Pros were pretty similar to Dave's Customs, though there were some noticeable differences including a swapped bridge pickup, shorter headstock and a slightly different body shape. The quality of the Pro series guitars is widely considered to be at a similar level to the USA series Jacksons, and recently KV Pros have sold for similar prices to KV1s on Ebay, indicating that they are equally desired by Mustaine / Jackson fans.

Sold as-is. I'm not a store with infrastructure and time to handle returns. I'm just a guy with a great guitar I'd like to sell to an excited buyer who knows what they want and recognizes the value in this guitar.
