This comes from an era when Yamaha were building instruments that surpassed what the likes of Gibson and Fender were producing.  In my ownership I've treated the guitar to the following:

• Thorough clean
• Fretboard treated with lemon oil
• Restring with 9-42 strings and full setup to a comfortable, low action
• Original humbucker pickup reinstalled (previous owner had replaced but included it)
• New CTS push/pull Volume potentiometer installed to allow coil split (previous owner had removed the original pots)
• New CTS Tone potentiometer installed
• Knobs are replacements provided by the previous owner

Given this is a well used, 40+ year old guitar it does have some dents and dings, the worst of which is a large chip in the back of the guitar as photographed. Also, the rear vibrato cavity cover is unfortunately missing. These issues are merely cosmetic and do no adversely effect the playability of the guitar.

The original Yamaha fitted hard case is included. The case is in good condition, but does have some wear commensurate with age, and is missing a clasp on the hinge side.

Overall, this is a great, usable example of a classic Japanese Yamaha electric guitar in excellent working order.
