This guitar cam to us today from a very nice lady. It was her original electric guitar that she got back in 1987 when she was 14. She kept it in great shape and really wants it to find the right home. Lets help that happen!
The RG560 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1988. It was originally part of the Roadstar series which became the RG line.
The RG560 is one of only a handful of RG models with humbucker/single/single pickup configuration. It was made in Japan by FujiGen.
The RG560 features a basswood body bolted to a maple Wizard neck with a 24-fret fingerboard with dot inlays. Components included Ibanez pickups and a double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut.
The RG560 was discontinued after 1992. Another regular production HSS RG model wasn't offered until the RG2560ZEX in 2010.
Other than a few minor nicks and chips in the finish, this guitar is a shredders DREAM, the fretboard is like a flat highway of possibilities! For a guitar that's just eclipsing 30, this guitar is in incredible condition, someone needs to snatch this up before our photographer Ron (who is also 30 and in no where near as good of shape) drools all over it and buys it himself!
This guitar is perfectly set up. Note well - as seen in picture - that the neck has an RG550 stamp and the pocket a 560 stamp. Ibanez did occasionally use different components in the early days but guitar screams.
Monster Music has been in business for almost 30 years, so please bid and buy with confidence!
