• The “Vocoda” expansion will upgrade your Darkstar MK1 to a respectable Vocoder unit.
• Included will be 1 new EPROM chip to complete the upgrade.

Please note Darkstar MK1 itself not for sale. Only the EPROM upgrade chip will be supplied.

XP2 Darkstar units are incompatible with this upgrade. The XP2 is a separate series with separate architecture.

• Please verify which Darkstar MK1 revision you have to ensure that you are purchasing the correct upgrade for your unit: Open the rear access panel and check the pin count of the EPROM socket.
• ONLY units with 28 pin EPROM sockets are compatible with the Vocoda upgrade. If you happen to have anything else but a 28-pin EPROM socket staring at you in the face then unfortunately you are out of luck.
• There is no known Vocoda upgrade available for units with a 32-pin EPROM socket.
