A pair of ALTEC LANSING Mini VOTT speakers is for sale.
The concept behind this pair was to achieve a more compact version of the VOTT while using the same drivers found in the VOTT A7. These speakers are based on the 1973 Heathkit AS-101, featuring an Altec 806-8A compression driver with an 811B horn, along with a 401-149 woofer, which is equivalent to the 416-8A.
These speakers sound spectacular! I have owned the 846 Valencia, 848 Flamenco, and 878 Santiago in the past, but these have a more open and three-dimensional sound.
The custom woofer enclosures are finished in period-correct Altec Gray. They measure 19” W x 28” H (including the horn) x 17” D (including the horn), making them a great fit for smaller rooms as well.
These speakers have high sensitivity, so they can be driven by very low-powered amplifiers. They can also handle up to 50 watts. The crossovers have been upgraded with French-made Solen capacitors.
