Seymour Duncan ASB2-6B Active Soapbar 6-String Bridge Pickup

The ASB2-6B is a powered bridge pickup engineered for 6-string bass players seeking aggressive articulation and tight low-end control. Its compact soapbar form factor and split-blade design deliver focused midrange punch without sacrificing the clarity needed in dense mixes. This is a workhorse active pickup built for modern playing styles that demand definition and responsiveness.

Tone & Electronics

The 5.5 kHz resonant peak at the bridge position cuts through the mix with aggressive midrange presence, ideal for slap, pick, and aggressive fingerstyle playing. The onboard 3-band EQ (Bass 8 / Mid 4 / Treble 7) provides extensive shaping control, allowing you to dial in anything from punchy vintage tones to modern scooped profiles. Battery life runs approximately 1,000 continuous hours per set, ensuring reliable performance across extended touring and studio schedules.

Design & Build

This Phase II active soapbar design is a direct EMG 45 size replacement, making it compatible with most modern bass cavities without routing modifications. The ceramic bar magnets and split-blade construction deliver consistent articulation, while the included two-conductor cable and mounting hardware eliminate guesswork during installation. Logo covers are also included for a finished appearance.
