This Edwards guitar is based on the 1954 Gibson Les Paul famously featured on the cover of Jeff Beck’s Blow by Blow.

This is a special model commissioned by Kurosawa Gakki and is not included in Edwards’ regular catalog. It appears to have been manufactured around 2024. The original pickups have been replaced by the previous owner with a set of GIBSON 57 Classic Underwound pickups.

The finish is Oxblood, although this particular model is considerably darker and closer to black than the Oxblood finishes found on Gibson and Epiphone models. Depending on the lighting and viewing angle, a subtle reddish tone can be seen in the finish.

There are some signs of normal use, including minor surface scratches and fine hairline marks from polishing, but overall the guitar is in good condition. The neck and frets are also in good shape.

Combined with the 57 Classic Underwound pickups, it delivers a very enjoyable Les Paul sound with plenty of warmth and thickness while retaining good clarity and definition.

An ESP gig bag is included.
