LOOP-MASTER PEDALS DUAL TRS AUX FOOTSWITCH – 2 NORMALLY OPEN + 2 NORMALLY CLOSED

Two different momentary switching types. Two independent TRS outputs. Four switches. One compact strip.

The Loop-Master Pedals Dual NO/NC Aux Footswitch combines TWO normally-open (NO) momentary switches and TWO normally-closed (NC) momentary switches in a single low-profile enclosure.

One 2-button section is dedicated to normally-open momentary switching.

The other 2-button section is dedicated to normally-closed momentary switching.

Each section has its own completely independent TRS output, with one switch controlling Tip and the other controlling Ring.

This makes it especially useful for pedalboards containing equipment with DIFFERENT external footswitch requirements.

Use the normally-open side with compatible Eventide, Morningstar and other NO equipment while using the normally-closed side with compatible Boss-style equipment — simultaneously.

THE NORMALLY OPEN SIDE

The first 2-button section provides normally-open momentary switching:

• Switch 1 = Tip to Sleeve

• Switch 2 = Ring to Sleeve

• Dedicated TRS output

At rest, the connections are OPEN.

Press a footswitch and the corresponding connection momentarily CLOSES.

Release the switch and it returns to its normally-open state.

This section is useful with compatible equipment requiring standard normally-open momentary external switches, including applications involving compatible Eventide and Morningstar equipment.

THE NORMALLY CLOSED SIDE

The second 2-button section provides Boss-style normally-closed momentary switching:

• Switch 3 = Tip to Sleeve

• Switch 4 = Ring to Sleeve

• Dedicated TRS output

At rest, the connections are CLOSED.

Press a footswitch and the corresponding connection momentarily OPENS.

Release the switch and it returns to its normally-closed state.

This section is designed for compatible equipment requiring Boss-style NC momentary external switching.

MIX NO + NC EQUIPMENT

This is where this controller really earns its pedalboard space.

Many players have one device that requires normally-open switches and another that requires normally-closed switches.

Normally, that means buying and mounting two different auxiliary controllers.

This puts BOTH types in one 8" strip.

For example:

NO TRS OUTPUT → Compatible Eventide H90

• Switch 1 = NO Tip

• Switch 2 = NO Ring

NC TRS OUTPUT → Compatible Boss device

• Switch 3 = NC Tip

• Switch 4 = NC Ring

Both devices can be controlled simultaneously while remaining completely independent.

• Eventide H90 + compatible Boss device

• Morningstar MIDI controller + compatible Boss device

• Eventide device + compatible Boss looper

• Morningstar controller + compatible Boss effects processor

• NO-compatible modeler + NC-compatible effects unit

• Any two compatible devices requiring the respective NO and NC switching types

You can also use either 2-button section by itself.

The other side remains available whenever you add another compatible device to your rig.

EVENTIDE USE

The normally-open section can be used with compatible Eventide equipment that accepts normally-open external momentary switches.

This can provide two additional external controls for supported functions, depending on the particular Eventide device and its assignments.

For an H90, for example, the NO section can provide two external momentary switches through a compatible EXP/CTL input while the NC side remains available for a Boss-style device.

MORNINGSTAR USE

The normally-open section can be used with compatible Morningstar MIDI controllers through an Omniport configured for external aux switch operation.

This gives you two additional physical switches for supported Morningstar functions while leaving the two normally-closed switches available for another piece of equipment.

BOSS-STYLE USE

The normally-closed section is intended for compatible equipment requiring Boss-style NC momentary switching.

Depending on the connected device, the two switches may be used for functions such as:

• CTL functions

• Effect on/off

• Tap tempo

• Memory up/down

• Parameter control

• Loop functions

• Start/stop

• Other assignable external controls

The exact functions are determined by the equipment being controlled.

REAL-WORLD PEDALBOARD EXAMPLE

Have an Eventide H90 and a compatible Boss device on the same board?

NO OUTPUT → EVENTIDE H90

• Switch 1 = NO Tip

• Switch 2 = NO Ring

NC OUTPUT → BOSS DEVICE

• Switch 3 = NC Tip

• Switch 4 = NC Ring

You now have two external controls for each device in one narrow strip.

No separate NO and NC aux pedals taking up additional pedalboard space.

NO VS. NC

NORMALLY OPEN (NO):

• Connection is open at rest

• Pressing the switch closes the connection

• Releasing the switch opens it again

NORMALLY CLOSED (NC):

• Connection is closed at rest

• Pressing the switch opens the connection

• Releasing the switch closes it again

Both switching types are available simultaneously from their own independent TRS outputs.

IMPORTANT

The two sections are DIFFERENT.

One TRS output provides two NORMALLY OPEN momentary switches.

The other TRS output provides two NORMALLY CLOSED momentary switches.

Always verify the external footswitch requirements of your equipment before connecting.

A TRS footswitch, CTL, control or expression jack does not automatically indicate whether the equipment requires normally-open or normally-closed switching.

CABLES

Each 2-button section connects to compatible equipment using a standard TRS cable.

To use both sections simultaneously, two standard TRS cables are required — one for the NO section and one for the NC section.

TRS cables are not included.

The normally-open section is designed for equipment requiring NO momentary Tip/Ring switching.

The normally-closed section is designed for equipment requiring NC momentary Tip/Ring switching.
