Up for sale is a vintage 8-string flat-back mandolin featuring the "Marcelli" stamp/hardware, originating from the Markneukirchen region of Germany (circa 1930s-1950s).
Acoustic, one pair strings broken, with a flat-back construction common in European folk instruments.Frequently attributed to mid-20th-century German "trade" instrument makers or regional European luthiers from the 1930s through the post-WWII era.
Used, fair condition. Tight hairline crack along the woodgrain. Crack is structurally stable, partially glued by previous owner. Being sold AS IS as a vintage player or project piece. 2 strings broken. Comes with hard case and original tuning pipes.”
Comes with hard case that is showing normal wear for its age but is intact. Also comes with pitch pipes.Floral inlay pickguard around sound hole. Has 'fern' transfers around the top.
