This is a genuine 2007 Gibson Les Paul Robot Guitar from the first production run, limited edition. It comes complete with the original hardshell case (embossed "Robot Guitar Limited Edition 1st Production Run"), Certificate of Authenticity, original documentation/promo card, and the original charger for the tuning system.

This guitar has the Blue Silverburst nitrocellulose finish, a colour Gibson created exclusively for this first production run and never used on another model.

The guitar plays and sounds great, it's a USA-made, full-spec Les Paul underneath the tech. These guitars were built with a self-tuning system that let the player instantly tune to one of 6 preset tunings. Full disclosure: the robotic self-tuning system (Tronical) is non-functional, so it currently operates as a standard manual-tuning Les Paul. All tuning pegs work normally by hand. The guitar is being sold as-is; standard manual tuners or Tronical repair/replacement systems are both options down the track if you want to restore or modify the tuning function.

Condition-wise: there's a small dent on the rear of the body (pictured), plus some light general play wear consistent with the guitar's age. No structural issues, the neck is straight, and all electronics function correctly aside from the robot tuning module.

A genuine piece of Gibson's more unusual engineering history, now collectible as a first-run limited edition regardless of the tuning function.
