This is my iconic " Beatle Bass" and it is for sale today with a new and very expensive gig bag . It would be a Selmer import to Australia in about 1966 or 1967
It has been totally over checked by a well known Sydney luthier and all is very well with it. I belive the neck pickup is very very slightly down on output but then so am I at 81 !
Pickup from Inner West Sydney with cash or I can ship it in its gig bag and a cardboard box for around $350.00 or a bit less within Australia. I am not a shop or dealer so don't offer sily figures.
So, thats it and you can check out the serial number which I haven't blacked out !!
The strings have been slackened off for months now as I don't like my guitars of this vintage to be left under tension. Especially bass guitars from the 1960's ! Some think they should be in playavble tune always. I don't agree. These need to live and breathe in their old age and if you do that they will perfom as Herrr Hofner wanted . And Paul McCartney :)
