Introduced in 1996 as part of Fender's short lived Hot Rodded American Series, the Lone Star Stratocaster was built for players who wanted classic Strat playability with a bit more bite on tap. Where a standard American Strat kept the traditional three single coil layout, the Lone Star swapped the bridge pickup for a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates Plus humbucker, paired with Fender Texas Special single coils in the middle and neck. It gave players access to everything from glassy, in between quack to thick, humbucker driven rock tones from the one guitar, and it stuck around in the lineup until 2000.

This particular example carries serial number N9412505, made in the USA in 1999. It's finished in Shoreline Gold over an alder body, paired with a pearloid pickguard, maple neck and rosewood fretboard with pearloid dot inlays. The HSS layout runs through a master volume and dual tone control set up with a 5 way selector, giving genuine tonal range from bright single coil sparkle right through to the humbucker's higher output growl. The two point synchronised tremolo with block saddles stays stable through use, and the neck feels every bit as comfortable and fast as a standard Strat, with nothing lost in playability for the added pickup versatility.

This guitar presents in excellent condition throughout, with the Shoreline Gold finish, hardware and fretwork all holding up well. It comes complete with its original Fender hardshell case, cable, strap, picks and trem arm.
