is a highly sought-after, computer-controlled five-band dynamic range controller and expander produced from 1984 to 1987.
As the absolute flagship model of the dbx BX series, it is widely considered a rare masterpiece by audio professionals and audiophiles for its ability to breathe new life into conventional recordings like tapes and vinyl LPs.
Key Features
- Five-Band Processing: Splitting the audio into five independent frequency bands allows for incredibly precise expansion or compression without creating artificial pumping effects across the entire audio spectrum.

- Digital Memory Presets: Features an internal memory battery to store up to five customized user settings for different music styles or artists.
- Dynamic Range Recovery: Capable of a massive 106dB dynamic range to reverse studio compression and restore live-performance realism to recorded media.
