For sale is a Lexicon Delta-T Model 102, one of the earliest commercial digital delay systems ever produced and one of the very first products to carry the Lexicon name.

Introduced in the early 1970s, the Delta-T series dates from the very dawn of digital audio processing. Originally developed for professional sound installations and studio applications, these machines were used for time alignment, delay and as pre-delay for plate reverbs. The Model 102 improved substantially on the original Delta-T 101 and helped establish digital processing as a serious tool for professional audio.

This is not simply another vintage rack delay. The Delta-T 102 represents an important chapter in recording technology — years before the Lexicon 224, PCM series and the digital processors that would make Lexicon legendary.

Today these units are extremely rare, particularly compared with later Lexicon equipment, and seldom appear on the market. A fascinating piece for a serious vintage studio, collector, museum, or anyone interested in the history of electronic and digital audio.
