"I’ve genuinely used and enjoyed all of these pieces, so much so that I’ve ended up with two or even three of some of them. You know I love all these sweeties, I just don’t need multiples of them anymore," said Finck. "I have been so fortunate to have played these on stages all over the world, and now they’re poised to play with someone new."
Among the items that will be available through Finck’s Reverb Shop is "Old Gold," a Gibson Les Paul ’60 Reissue Goldtop that has been with Finck since his earliest days with Nine Inch Nails, including the band’s legendary Woodstock ’94 performance and Self Destruct tour. The guitar made its first-ever appearance in the band’s "March of the Pigs" music video. Finck played it on every Nine Inch Nails tour until 2014.
Finck’s Reverb Shop will also feature the first Les Paul he ever purchased: a 1990 Gibson Les Paul Custom in limited-edition Translucent White. "It’s the only guitar I had when I landed in Nine Inch Nails," Finck said of the guitar. "I’ve played it for over 35 years. It has always been favored."
The Official Robin Finck Reverb Shop will also include:
- A Fender Custom Shop Nocaster guitar that Finck calls "one of the greatest guitars" he’s ever played. "It feels great, it sounds great, it looks great. It was my main Telecaster for many years. I played it a lot," Finck said of the guitar, which he played with Nine Inch Nails from the 2013 Tension tour to 2018’s Cold and Black and Infinite.
- A Gibson ES-335 guitar that Finck got in the early 2000s. This guitar was on tour with him through Guns N' Roses, and with Nine Inch Nails, including Lights in the Sky, Wave Goodbye, Tension, I Can’t Seem to Wake Up, and Cold and Black and Infinite. "It’s a perfect guitar," said Finck.
- A Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar nicknamed "Nothingface" that Finck has been playing since the late ‘90s, including on five tours with Nine Inch Nails from Lights in the Sky in 2008 to Cold and Black and Infinite in 2018. "People probably recognize and ask me about this guitar more than any other. It’s one of my favorites," said Finck.
- A one-of-one Manson Custom MA-RF-01 guitar built specifically for Robin and played live on tour with Nine Inch Nails to support I Can’t Seem to Wake Up and Cold and Black and Infinite. "There is a deep history for me with, well, all of these guitars. But if you ask me which is the best guitar? It might be this one," Finck said of the guitar, which was handmade to spec.
- A Gibson ‘57 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue guitar that was played on every live version of "March of the Pigs" with Nine Inch Nails from 2008 to 2018. "This is one of the few guitars that saw stages with both Nine Inch Nails and Guns N’ Roses," said Finck of the guitar, which was used live and in the studio to record Chinese Democracy with Guns N’ Roses.
- A Fano Alt de Facto PX6 guitar that Finck brought to the filming of Twin Peaks: The Return in 2016, when "The" Nine Inch Nails performed at the Roadhouse. "I'm an enormous fan of Twin Peaks and all things David Lynch. It was just so cool to be on set and experience David calling out from his collapsible canvas director's chair," Finck said.
- A 2000 Gibson R8 ‘58 Reissue Les Paul guitar that Finck played extensively on tour with Guns N’ Roses. According to Finck, "It was a strange and unsteady time for me. This particular guitar was the only thing that seemed to make sense to me then. … I was hanging onto this guitar with everything I had. This was the S on my chest."
- A Schecter Robin Finck Ultra red guitar used on Nine Inch Nails’ 2009 Wave Goodbye tour and the Marshall JCM2000 TSL-100 amp heads that powered the same tour. The amp heads were also used with Guns N’ Roses in 2000.
- A Martin Classic Backpacker guitar played with Nine Inch Nails.
- A sticker-laden, custom-built road case from Finck’s earliest days on the road with Nine Inch Nails.
- Several pedals, including a Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz with Finck’s initials on the side, a Prescription Electronics Experience with a one-of-a-kind paint job, and a DOD FX25 Envelope Filter used on Guns N’ Roses’ "Better." Of the pedals, Finck said: "I have used and loved all these deeply. I just don’t need multiples anymore.
