The Boss PH-3 is a compact phase shifter pedal offering both classic and modern phasing effects in a rugged, road-ready enclosure. It includes standard Rate, Depth, and Resonance controls, along with a Stage selector that allows switching between multiple phase stages, including 4, 8, 10, and 12. These options offer a variety of textures, from subtle motion to deep, swirling modulation.

In addition to traditional phase tones, the PH-3 introduces Rise and Fall modes for unidirectional phasing, creating a sweeping effect that moves consistently up or down. This feature offers a more experimental tone that sets it apart from classic designs. It also includes tap tempo input via the footswitch or an external pedal, allowing precise rhythmic alignment with live or recorded material.

Built with Boss's typical durability and reliability, the PH-3 is designed for consistent performance in demanding conditions. Overall, it delivers a wide palette of phasing sounds ranging from vintage warmth to modern movement, making it a versatile addition to any pedalboard.
