The Mäag PREQ2 puts the legendary Air Band® EQ right at the front of your recording chain. Delivering two matched channels of discrete, Class-A preamplification, each channel is a complete, premium front-end designed to bring space, lift, and clarity to any source without harshness.

Built with custom Mäag nickel-core transformers and offering up to 71 dB of gain, it effortlessly handles everything from hot condensers to low-output vintage ribbons.

Key Features:

• Class-A Preamps: Up to 71 dB of gain with dual ranges (featuring a +25 dB switch ideal for ribbons). Massive +27 dBu headroom and exceptionally quiet (−128 dB EIN).
• Legendary Air Band® EQ: 6 selectable frequencies (2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 40 kHz) to add dimension and lift that survives compression and streaming codecs.
• Low Frequency EQ: Gentle 6 dB/octave bell boost (SUB, 40, 65, 100, 125, 165 Hz) for adding weight without mud.
• Sweepable HPF: 20 Hz to 200 Hz high-pass filter with dedicated engage switch to instantly clean up low-end rumble.
• Front-Panel DI: 1/4" instrument input per channel with a Mic Thru routing.
• Precision Control: Detented knobs (except mic gain) and individual colored LEDs for fast, repeatable settings in dim control rooms.

Condition: Outlet Stock (Excellent) This unit is in excellent, essentially unused cosmetic condition with absolutely no rack rash. The blue front panel, knobs, and chassis are exceptionally clean, and all rear connectors are intact. Works perfectly.
