About This Model

The Roland E-20 is a 61-key intelligent arranger synthesizer built around Roland's LA (Linear Arithmetic) Digital Synthesis engine - the same hybrid PCM/subtractive technology found in the MT-32 - delivering 32-voice polyphony and 9-part multitimbrality. The velocity-sensitive keyboard drives 32 onboard rhythm styles (expandable via Style Cards) alongside a 3-song, 200-measure composer for recording upper and lower tracks. Built-in stereo speakers (5W × 2) mean it operates without an external amp, while eight types of digital reverb, a backlit 2-line LCD, AUX in/out, headphone output, and full MIDI IN/OUT/THRU make it equally capable as a standalone instrument or as part of a larger setup.
