Welcome to HotRods Guitar shop, located just outside the Picturesque area of Chattanooga TN.

I've been a Luthier for 47 years. ( some even call me a Master Luthier) My work is well published on you tube magazines and books.
I build and look for high quality items that I myself would be proud to own, and list them here.

We work hard to maintain the integrity of our small shop.

We often build custom guitars here, many of which are pre-sold and therefore never get offered here on reverb.
but We do list several examples of pieces we make consistently.

yes, I said We custom build guitars.. both from Scratch... or, we remanufacture from interesting or cool "found" parts..
This shop knows what a great instrument should sound, play and feel like. and frankly, if your gonna be a serious Luthier in Tennessee.. Home of Gibson, AND Nashville (country music), Memphis ( Rock'n roll & Blues) and Knoxville (Bluegrass) as well as several very prestigious Guitars Companies and the musicians who play them... then you need to bring your "A" game.
and so.. We try to do just that.

I also Pay a fair bit more for higher quality guitars than just the run of the mill music stores or pawn shops. and I expect people to respond to our commitment in kind.

We weed out the bad ones so you don't have to.
at HotRods Guitar Shop, We do our utmost to find and procure the best Instruments and price them where the market shows it should be according to its tone, playability and condition. and we don't discriminate to only the high end price ranges. We know that excellent guitars can show up in every price range. even in the $100 range.
