Our fearless leader, Chairman Fat Dog, has for decades been scouring distressed guitar factories looking for parts and hardware to use on our custom builds. As an example, Fat Dog scored a large stash of Kramer necks and hardware when the Neptune, NJ headquarters closed in the early 90s. We have been occasionally using these parts to build custom Kramers including this super righteous shell pink Nightswan model.

1989 USA Kramer Nightswan Custom Build

Authentic 1989 Kramer Nightswan neck (made in Japan by ESP).

The real deal, not a reproduction, 24.75 scale with 1.5” width at the nut.

Thin profile neck with ebony fretboard and vintage German R1 nut.

Headstock break has been professionally repaired but was not re-logo’d – area of repair was cosmetically touched-up by hand (see pics).

Frets are like new with no obvious play wear.

Legendary Nightswan playability with a “browner” tone much closer to King Edward’s tone.

Alder lightweight MIJ body with shell pink nitrocellulose finish.

NOS vintage Schaller Golden 50s pickups (OEM on USA Kramers from 1981-1985)

Pink nitro finish allows transparency of tone – has some natural light relicking and should acquire more given the lightweight wood and finish.

Add another Nightswan to your quiver with a completely different tone from the usual. Pink finish is a guaranteed magnet for hotties and it’s the only Nightswan known to exist in this color.

Control cavity shielded with copper faraday cage for dependable silence.

Guitar is set up with hybrid gauge 9,11,16,26,36,46 – light top end for shredding and lower bottom for chunk and handles drop tuning better. Currently tuned E std. We can set it up however you like, but this hybrid string gauge works particularly well for this guitar.
