The Ludwig LB402B Chrome Over Brass Snare Drum combines the legendary response of brass with the focused attack and projection that have made it a studio and stage favorite for decades. Originally introduced as the "Super Ludwig" in the early 1960s, this iconic design returned by popular demand and continues to be one of Ludwig's most sought-after metal snare drums.

Its seamless 1.2mm chrome-plated brass shell delivers a warm, musical tone with enhanced sensitivity, crisp articulation, and the unmistakable crack that brass drums are known for. The 6.5" depth adds extra body, low-end punch, and projection, making the LB402B equally at home in rock, pop, country, blues, jazz, worship, and studio sessions.

Built with 10 classic Imperial lugs, 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops, the dependable P88AC throw-off, P35 butt plate, and premium heads, the LB402B offers exceptional tuning stability and a wide dynamic range—from delicate ghost notes to powerful rimshots. Whether you're recording, performing live, or adding a timeless classic to your collection, this drum delivers the unmistakable Ludwig sound that has been heard on countless hit records.
