Built entirely from solid mahogany, the D-17 offers a rich, dry voice with impressive midrange presence and a slightly sweeter, more rounded response than traditional spruce-topped dreadnoughts. Its full dreadnought body delivers plenty of volume and projection, making it equally suited for singer-songwriters, flatpickers, and players looking for a more organic, broken-in tonal character right from day one. 

Part of Martin's latest Standard Series updates, the D-17 features Golden Era scalloped forward-shifted bracing, a true dovetail neck joint, and several playability improvements that give the instrument an exceptionally resonant and responsive feel. The GE Modified Low Oval neck profile and refined string spacing make it comfortable for long playing sessions, while the understated satin Dark Mahogany finish and vintage-inspired appointments give the guitar a timeless appearance that feels both familiar and fresh.
