Summary:

The So-Cal Style 2 takes inspiration from one of the most recognizable and well-loved electric guitar body designs, while introducing deeper contours for greater comfort and playability. Its alder body features an ergonomically sculpted back and a specially carved neck heel, allowing players to reach the highest frets with ease. These refinements make the guitar comfortable to play for extended sessions without sacrificing its classic appearance. Built for strength and reliability, the guitar features a bolt-on maple neck reinforced with graphite to help resist movement caused by temperature and humidity changes. A conveniently placed heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel allows for fast neck relief adjustments without removing the neck. The neck has a fast-playing profile with a smooth hand-rubbed urethane finish, while the caramelized maple fingerboard combines a 12"-16" compound radius with 24 jumbo frets for effortless bends, accurate fretting, and comfortable performance across the entire neck. Pearloid dot inlays provide a traditional look, and Luminlay side markers improve visibility on dimly lit stages. A Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut further enhances tuning stability and overall performance. For maximum tonal flexibility, the So-Cal Style 2 is equipped with Fishman Fluence Open Core pickups that offer three distinct voices. The first voice delivers a powerful modern humbucking sound, with the bridge pickup producing aggressive high-output tones and the neck pickup providing clear, articulate warmth. The second voice recreates classic vintage PAF-style humbucker sounds with balanced output and dynamic response. Activating the push/pull tone control engages a third voice, transforming the pickups into convincing single-coil tones, with a bright vintage-style sound from the neck pickup and a slightly hotter single-coil character from the bridge. Combined with a three-way pickup selector, mini-toggle switch, and master volume and tone controls, the guitar provides an exceptionally broad range of sounds suitable for many musical styles. The hardware is designed to complement the guitar's high-performance character. A Charvel HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge with brass saddles maximizes sustain while maintaining accurate intonation. Locking die-cast tuning machines improve tuning stability and make string changes quicker and more secure. Altogether, the So-Cal Style 2 combines modern construction, versatile electronics, and player-focused ergonomics to create an instrument that excels in both performance and reliability.
