Takamine GLD11E NS

The Takamine GLD11E NS Acoustic Electric Guitar in Natural Satin is a distinctive instrument designed for players who appreciate a softer, warmer acoustic sound along with the convenience of modern electronics. Its dreadnought body, combined with a shorter scale length, makes this guitar uniquely responsive and comfortable to play.

Design and Craftsmanship

This model features a dreadnought body shape known for its robust sound and strong voice, making it ideal for singer-songwriters and solo performers. The use of okoume for both the top and back/sides of the guitar contributes to its rustic, rootsy tone, delivering robust fundamental tones that complement a variety of musical styles, particularly folk and blues. The natural satin finish not only enhances the visual appeal of the wood grains but also contributes to the guitar’s overall warm sound quality.

Playability

The GLD11E NS sports a shorter scale length of 630mm, which reduces string tension. This results in a softer touch and easier playability, which can be particularly beneficial for players with smaller hands or those who prefer a more relaxed feel when playing chords and bends. The mahogany neck and jatoba fingerboard provide a smooth playing experience, ensuring comfort during long playing sessions.

Equipped with Takamine's TP-3G electronics, this guitar is stage-ready straight out of the box. The preamp system includes a 3-band EQ for shaping your sound and a built-in chromatic tuner, which is invaluable during live performances or recording sessions. This setup allows for easy adjustments and ensures optimal sound quality when amplified.
