Up for sale is my 2003 Gretsch Black Penguin, an increasingly hard-to-find and truly special instrument featuring the highly desirable Dynasonic pickups — delivering exceptional clarity, punch, articulation, and that unmistakable classic Gretsch character.

This guitar is over 20 years old and remains in impeccable condition, exceptionally well-preserved and carefully maintained throughout its life. It plays beautifully and sounds absolutely incredible.

This particular Black Penguin has an interesting collector history. The original owner, a serious collector, replaced the factory Cadillac tailpiece with a Bigsby vibrato, giving the guitar a more expressive and incredibly classy feel while preserving its iconic aesthetic and tone.

In addition, the bridge was upgraded, though the original bridge is included in the sale.
