The Ludwig Drums 14" x 5" Classic Maple in Moss Green snare delivers the timeless tone that has defined countless recordings for decades. Built on Ludwig’s all-maple shell, this drum produces a perfect balance of warmth, clarity, and controlled projection—ideal for everything from tight studio work to punchy live backbeats.

At 5" deep, this model offers a crisp, articulate response with just enough body to stay full without getting overly boomy. It’s a versatile depth that sits right in the pocket, making it a go-to choice for players who need sensitivity, dynamic control, and a clean, focused crack.

Rooted in the legacy that shaped the fat grooves of ‘70s and ‘80s pop and R&B, the Classic Maple series continues to carry Ludwig’s reputation for innovation and musicality. Whether you’re dialing in subtle ghost notes or laying into a solid backbeat, this snare responds with consistency and character every time.

At Sims Music, we stock a wide variety of Classic Maple finishes and configurations. If you’re looking for a specific color or model, reach out—our team is happy to help track it down or get one on order for you.
