The TAMA S.L.P. G-Maple Snare Drum is a timeless maple-shell snare designed to deliver the punch, clarity, and pristine tone drummers expect from a premium instrument. Crafted with an 11mm, 12-ply maple shell and finished with a stunning 1-ply mappa burl outer veneer, this snare offers a bold attack with warm, balanced resonance. The result is a versatile voice that cuts through the mix while maintaining the musical sensitivity maple snares are known for.

Durable Maple Construction with Premium Finish

At the heart of this snare is its thick 11mm maple shell, engineered for projection, focus, and long-lasting durability. The added mappa burl outer ply not only enhances structural integrity but also provides an elegant, eye-catching finish. This combination ensures consistent tone and reliability, whether you’re in the studio or performing night after night on stage.

Reliable Hardware and Head Combination

Equipped with a 10-hole, 2.3mm Steel Mighty Hoop, this snare keeps your head firmly seated for dependable tuning stability and powerful rimshots. The hoop pairs perfectly with the included Evans G1 Coated Drumhead, a favorite among drummers for its stellar stick response and balanced blend of open ring and controlled warmth. Together, they create a dynamic playing experience with articulate attack and smooth sustain.

Lightweight Starclassic Lugs for Maximum Resonance

Fitted with TAMA’s renowned Starclassic lugs, the S.L.P. G-Maple Snare Drum benefits from a low-mass design that minimizes shell contact. This lightweight tension rod connection allows the shell to vibrate freely, enhancing resonance and tonal depth. The result is a lively, expressive snare drum that responds effortlessly to every nuance of your playing.
