Boss BF-2 Flanger – MIJ Japan Black Label – Vintage Analog Flanger

Description

This is a vintage Boss BF-2 Flanger, made in Japan, with the Black Label. Serial number 071000(1981).

This one is priced as a player's pedal. It works perfectly and delivers the rich, organic analog modulation the MIJ BF-2 is known for — noticeably warmer and less brittle than the later Taiwan units. Great for 80s rock, new wave, shoegaze, funk and ambient work. If you want a genuine MIJ Black Label to actually use on a pedalboard rather than keep in a display case, this is the one.

Condition:

• Fully functional — all four controls tested, no scratchiness in the pots
• Black plastic thumb screw (not the earlier silver screw type)
• Circuit unmodified
• Cosmetic: scratches and wear consistent with age, structurally sound
• Battery compartment clean, no corrosion
• Pedal only — no box or manual

Features:

• Made in Japan (1980s era)
• Black Label (ACA power version)
• Classic Boss analog flanger circuit
• Solid metal chassis

A great choice for both players and collectors looking for an authentic vintage Boss pedal.
