The Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay Special HH – Anomalous Green is a powerful modern take on an iconic bass, combining unmistakable StingRay authority with expanded tonal flexibility and refined ergonomics. Finished in a striking Anomalous Green, the high-gloss polyester finish accentuates the sculpted body lines while delivering a bold, stage-ready presence. Built from select hardwoods, the body offers excellent resonance and balance, staying true to the StingRay legacy while benefiting from the lightweight, player-focused refinements of the Special series.

The StingRay Special HH features a fast, comfortable playing experience thanks to its 34" scale length, sleek 11" fingerboard radius, and a select roasted maple neck that enhances stability and attack. The neck is finished in Music Man’s signature gunstock oil and hand-rubbed wax blend, providing a smooth, natural feel that encourages long, fatigue-free sessions. With 22 high-profile, wide stainless steel frets and a precisely engineered 5-bolt sculpted neck joint, upper-fret access is effortless, making the instrument equally suited for deep pocket grooves and expressive lead passages.

At the core of this bass’s versatility is its dual humbucking pickup configuration, featuring neodymium-magnet Music Man humbuckers that deliver massive output, punchy lows, and crystal-clear highs. The 5-way lever pickup selector unlocks a wide range of tones—from classic StingRay growl and aggressive modern punch to tighter, more focused blended sounds—while the 18-volt 3-band active preamp provides enormous headroom and precise control via volume, treble, mid, and bass controls. This setup makes the StingRay Special HH exceptionally adaptable across genres and playing styles.

Premium hardware ensures reliability and consistency in any environment. The vintage Music Man top-loaded bridge, featuring a chrome-plated steel plate with vintage nickel-plated saddles, delivers excellent sustain and a solid, authoritative feel. Custom lightweight Music Man tuning machines with tapered string posts and ergonomic clover keys keep the bass perfectly balanced and rock-solid in tuning. An adjustable truss rod allows easy setup without removing strings or hardware, and the aluminum control cover provides effective electronic shielding.
