The Ibanez Bass Workshop UB804-BUL Black Ice Burst Low Gloss expands the Bass Workshop series of the innovative company from Japan with a versatile electric upright Bass with four strings. Thanks to the authentic neck profile and the innovative pickup system, the neck-through UB804 offers the authentic feel and sound of a full-size double bass. High-quality Hardware and the included Custom stand from Tama also make the Bass Workshop UB804 Upswing Bass a professional companion for the stage and recording studio.

In order to come as close as possible to the feel of a full-grown double bass, Ibanez has opted for an elaborate neck-through construction for the Bass Workshop UB804 Electric Upright Bass. The heart of the Bass is undoubtedly the full-length maple and walnut neckand the long 34" scale length (864 mm), which guarantee a clean string response for both arco and pizzicato playing. The strong and rounded "UB4" neck profile and the tight compound radius of the Jatoba fingerboard also convey the authentic playing characteristics of a classical double bass. The small dot inlays are also a practical detail, helping to ensure clean intonation.

On the bass amplifier, the Ibanez Bass Workshop UB804 Upswing Bass impresses with an official double bass tone that reproduces both bowed arco techniques and plucked pizzicato playing with natural dynamics and enormous detail. The innovative AeroSilk pickup system with piezo elements in the mono-rail bridges and active preamp is responsible for this. In addition to four gain controls for perfectly tuning the sound balance of each string, the system offers general volume and tone potentiometers for quickly adjusting the sound on stage.

It goes without saying that Ibanez completes the Bass Workshop UB804-BUL Black Ice Burst Low Gloss with professional hardware components that can handle even strenuous tours and recording sessions with unrestricted reliability. While the special design of the Custom AeroSilk Mono-Rail bridges promises a secure hold for the factory-wound flatwound bass strings, their extensive adjustment options guarantee precise adjustment of intonation and string action. Encapsulated Ibanez die-cast tuners on the perforated headstock keep the electric upright Bass securely in tune. The high-quality Tama Roadpro Custom stand included with the UB804 not only promises a secure stand for the upright bass, but also enables precise adjustment of a comfortable playing position.
