This is a Hofner 500/1 Beatle Bass made in Germany in the late 1960's. Dated off the pots. This is one of the basses that escaped the factory without a headstock decal, or serial #. The history can be read on line. The bass appears to be almost unplayed (see photos). No signs of playing time. Two tiny dings, and a bit of lacquer checking. Flame maple back. The neck is also highly famed maple. Original chipboard case. Thanks for looking and best of luck!
