This guitar is a vintage Morris dreadnought with a laminated spruce top in a natural finish and a comfortable V-neck profile. The back and sides are rosewood (often described as Indian rosewood on comparable models), paired with a rosewood fingerboard. The linked YouTube clip is a good reference for the model’s general voice and feel, but it is not footage of this exact instrument.

Morris Guitars was founded by Toshio Moridaira, who played an early role in bringing major American brands into Japan—he was among the first distributors there to carry both Fender and Gibson. After visiting the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo in the mid-1960s, he acquired the nickname “Mori,” which later became the basis for the Morris brand name—an Americanized nod to that nickname.
