The Ibanez AZ Prestige AZ2204AGTFB – Tri Fade Burst is a modern, high-performance electric guitar built with absolute precision for players who demand versatility, stability, and refined tone. Crafted in Japan under Ibanez’s prestigious Prestige line, this instrument blends classic design elements with cutting-edge innovation. Its ash body, finished in a stunning gloss polyester Tri Fade Burst, delivers a lively, resonant tonal character with strong upper-mid clarity and balanced lows, while the translucent burst highlights the natural grain for a bold yet elegant visual statement.

At the heart of the AZ2204A is a meticulously engineered S-TECH WOOD roasted maple neck, treated for enhanced stability, moisture resistance, and long-term reliability. The neck features an oil finish for a smooth, natural feel and is carved into the comfortable AZ Oval C profile, designed to accommodate everything from relaxed chord work to fast, technical lead playing. A matching roasted maple fingerboard with a 305mm radius, 22 frets, and understated black dot inlays provides a sleek, modern playing surface, while Luminlay side dots ensure visibility on dark stages. The bone nut, 42mm nut width, and 25.5" scale length contribute to precise intonation and a familiar, articulate response.

The AZ2204AGTFB is loaded with a versatile Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickup set, featuring a humbucker in the bridge and single coils in the middle and neck positions. These pickups are voiced for clarity and balance, delivering tight lows, transparent highs, and exceptional note definition across clean, edge-of-breakup, and high-gain settings. Paired with Ibanez’s advanced dyna-MIX9 switching system and Alter Switch, the guitar offers a wide array of tonal combinations beyond a standard 5-way switch, making it equally at home in blues, rock, fusion, pop, and progressive styles.

Premium hardware completes the package, including a Gotoh T1802 tremolo bridge with metal saddles for smooth action and rock-solid tuning stability, and Gotoh Magnum Lock tuning machines with H.A.P., ensuring fast string changes and precise adjustment. Jumbo stainless steel frets with Prestige fret edge treatment provide exceptional durability and an ultra-smooth feel, ideal for expressive bends and modern techniques. Finished with elegant gold hardware, a black pickguard, and matching black knobs and switch cap, the AZ2204AGTFB strikes a perfect balance between sophistication and performance.

Designed for professionals and serious players alike, the Ibanez AZ Prestige AZ2204AGTFB delivers unmatched playability, tonal flexibility, and premium craftsmanship—and it arrives ready for the road or studio in an included hardshell case.
