This is a refurbished instrument from MIRC (Musical Instrument Reclamation Corporation). MIRC purchases blemishes, closeouts, discontinued models, overstock, and returns from manufacturers and large online retailers. This guitar has a couple blemishes on the neck up near the nut. It looks like they buffed through the red finish. It has been clear coated and is smooth to the touch. Other than that, it is in like new condition. Looks, plays and sounds great.

The serial number is changed and "Used" stamped on the back of the headstock per their agreement with Epiphone. It's like getting a brand new, professionally set up guitar at a great price.
