The RG is the most famous and distinctive guitar in the Ibanez range. Three decades of metal have shaped this high-performance guitar and optimized it for speed, power, and precision. Whether with a fixed hardtail bridge or the industry-leading locking tremolo system, the RG stands for uncompromising control and precise performance. Equipped with the Wizard III Maple neck, which is thin, flat, and particularly fast to play, it also offers high stability for demanding playing techniques. The 24-fret fingerboard allows a range of over two full octaves and opens up versatile possibilities across all positions. The Jatoba fretboard impresses with its reddish-brown appearance and delivers warm mids with clear, brilliant highs. Jumbo frets support a smooth playing feel, especially during fast single-note passages. The meranti body produces a balanced sound with slightly lowered mids and a tonally soft, musical character. Quantum H-S-H pickups provide the necessary assertiveness, delivering fast response in the bass range, precise note definition in high-speed passages, and a full, powerful midrange and treble spectrum. The setup is rounded off by the Edge-Zero II tremolo, whose flat profile offers high playing comfort, while the stud-lock function ensures reliable tuning stability. The result is a guitar that embodies the essence of the Ibanez RG—fast, powerful, versatile, and uncompromising in performance and feel.
