Gibson USA / Les Paul Gothic

There are a couple of these same guitars on Reverb right now. There is one and it says that it is in "very good" condition. It is thrashed way beyond any Gothic I've ever seen. It even has silver marker all over it and they want $1574 for it. And it doesn't even come with the OHSC.

There are two others that are both in Japan so you will have to pay duties and fees. They don'y tell you what that cost is until you buy it. It even says in the ad: All import duties, customs fees, and procedures are the buyer's responsibility - please be aware of the requirements for your country. You won't have that problem with mine. It's already right here in the good ole' USA, in the great state of Texas!

This guitar doesn't have the dings and scratches that ALL of the other ones I've seen for sale here and on eBay. No buckle rash and no scratches or pick rash. I added a pic of the headstock and, as you can see, there are no dings. I have more pics if you are interested.

I have added some more pics. Please keep in mind that I don't play guitar and there is some dust on her. I also tried to wipe some of the dust off with a micro-fiber cloth so it might look like it was wiped down.

2000s, manufactured in the US factory, first generation Les Paul Gothic.

Don't miss your chance to get your hands on a model that is extremely popular.

Step into the world of dark allure and electrifying sound with the Gibson Gothic Les Paul 2000-2002. A staple in the Gothic series, this guitar was crafted during an era when Nü Metal ruled the airwaves, giving it an undeniable edge that still resonates today. Perfectly blending the classic Les Paul design with a brooding aesthetic, this guitar captures attention and imagination alike.

The ebony fingerboard is adorned with a single 12th fret inlay, providing a minimalist yet striking visual cue. Meanwhile, the back of the headstock features a portrait that adds a touch of mystique and exclusivity, distinguishing it from later iterations like the Les Paul Gothic Morte. This guitar’s solid mahogany body and maple top ensure that it delivers the hefty, resonant tones that Les Pauls are famed for, while its set neck construction offers sustain that seems to last for days.

Equipped with high-output humbuckers, the Gibson Gothic Les Paul is designed to handle everything from growling lows to searing highs, making it a versatile choice for any genre. Whether you're channeling the raw power of metal or exploring more melodic territories, this guitar offers the tonal palette to bring your musical visions to life.

Key Features:

  • Solid mahogany body with maple top
  • Ebony fingerboard with 12th fret inlay
  • High-output humbuckers
  • Set neck construction for enhanced sustain
  • Distinctive portrait on the back of the headstock
  • Originally produced from 2000 to 2002

I had a Les Paul VooDoo sell here on Reverb a while back and this guitar is no different. I don't need to sell it and I'm asking the price that I want for it. These are getting rarer ever year and they only go up in value.

I have owned this guitar since 2006. I'm a drummer so it hasn't been played since then. I keep it stored in its case with the strings a bit loose. I am thinning the heard since I have several guitars. I buy them to put away until the day comes for it to go to someone who will play and enjoy them. That time has come.

There is one little nick on the neck (see pic) other than that, she is in great shape. Still has the satin finish. There are other Gothics out there that have been played a lot and the finish has been polished so it is shiny. That is NOT how they originally came. They all had the satin finish. The problem was, if you played it it would start to get shiny where your arm would rub on the guitar, so people would shine up the whole guitar. NOT this one.

This has the Orville Gibson portrait on the back of the headstock that gives it that spooky, vintage feel.

Original Hard Shell Case included.
