🎸 1983 Squier JV Stratocaster – Contemporary Series HSS – Olympic White (FujiGen Gakki)

I’m offering a rare 1983 Squier JV Stratocaster Contemporary Series, one of the most sought-after Japanese instruments ever produced under the Fender name. The JV (Japan Vintage) era is widely regarded as the moment that restored Fender’s reputation in the early 80s — these guitars often match or exceed the quality of American production from the same period.

This is the HSS Contemporary configuration, factory-equipped with a humbucker in the bridge and two single coils in the middle and neck positions. The guitar remains in original configuration and carries the serial number JV952260 stamped on the neck plate.

Condition

The guitar is fully functional, stable, and plays as it should. The finish shows natural wear consistent with a 40+ year-old instrument — scratches, small cracks and typical discoloration from age. The neck is straight, truss rod works smoothly, and the frets remain in good shape for a JV-era Strat. No issues affecting playability.

Why this one stands out

• Genuine JV – Japan Vintage instrument from 1983
• Harder-to-find HSS Contemporary configuration
• Beautiful natural Olympic White aging
• Comfortable neck and excellent tonal response
