1968 Fender Telecaster - Definite “Player’s Grade” Tele with serious mojo/patina/history. This guitar came to us with numerous prior owner mods done in the 70’s. Our luthier rendered it back to a true player grade stock configuration. It was previously (poorly) modded to have DiMarzio humbucker pickups and a dreadful import ABR style bridge. I have included some of the restoration photos at the end of the picture stack. Now, the guitar is back to stock configuration using Fender parts including period correct bridge and 65 reissue pickup set. The original parts include: neck, body, control plate, strap buttons, tone pot and cap, switch, tuners, one knob, ashtray, neck plate, most screws, string tree. Replacement parts include volume pot, bridge, pickups, jack (original cup), pick guard.

The frets are original and at about 70/80%. The rosewood neck was manufactured in 1967 and used to build this guitar in 1968 (Not unusual). Action is low and playability is off the chart.

Finish is an old re-finish (70s) and has great wear and patina on alder wood.

Included is the original hard shell case with the prior owner’s name stenciled on it.
