This Custom Shop OOO-28-style guitar has the balance of an OM and the comfort of a 000, and it is built from a spruce top and wild grain East Indian rosewood back and sides. The rosewood gives it a focused low end and clear trebles with a smooth midrange, which works for flatpicking and for fingerstyle. The Aging Toner top and Style 28 rosette give it a vintage look right out of the case, and antique white binding and a gloss body with a satin neck keep it understated.

The neck is a GE Modified Low Oval with the High Performance Taper, so it moves quickly without feeling thin, and with 14 frets clear of the body and a long 25.4 inch scale there is plenty of projection and headroom when you dig in. Grover StaTite tuners and a GE Modern Belly bridge finish the build, and it comes in a hardshell case. We would point it at a player who wants an auditorium-size Martin with real Custom Shop detail and a traditional 28-style look.
