The Idol has been a staple shape of Washburns lineup seeing countless colors and setups over its many years of production. For a '08 model year, they saw the rise of a new generation of metal players and like many other brands a need to adapt. Naturally, the thing to do is make the sickest looking Idol to ever hit the freakin market!

Sharper angles, sicker headstock, and a glossy black finish held together with the hardest pinstripe binding you ever seen! Under all of the pretty looks, the guitar is carved out of sturdy mahogany. Afterall, heavy riffing certainly requires heavy duty materials! Don't worry though, the guitar still weighs in at a totally manageable 7.38lbs. The neck measures in at .799" thick at the 1st fret and .882" at the 12th with a 1.69" nut width. Additionally, it sports a rosewood fretboard with a super player friendly 12 inch radius for all your gnarly riffage! Outputting said riffage is a pair of Lace Alumitone Deathbuckers. You know what they say folks, with insane naming schemes comes insane tone! Controlling said Deathbuckers are 2 individual sets of volume and tone knobs with coil tap, opening up even more tonal options for you.

This guitar came into us used showing some signs of years of gigging and love.
