CLASSIC STUDIO SOUND, CONTEMPORARY DESIGN

The WA-87jr is a contemporary version of the iconic ‘87-style microphone, delivering pristine highs and detailed mids with a modern multi-pattern condenser design. Combining possibly the greatest vocal condenser capsule tone of all time with carefully designed contemporary circuitry, the WA-87jr delivers professional analog tone on sources like vocals, streaming/podcasting, acoustic guitar, drums, and much more.

VINTAGE-ACCURATE K87-STYLE CAPSULE

The WA-87jr features a true reproduction of the celebrated dual-backplate, large-diaphragm K87-style capsule found in the most sought-after ‘87 microphones. Designed with the same hole pattern and frequency response as the original studio mic (and used in Warm's flagship WA-87 R2 mic) using a discrete signal path with ultra-low self-noise, WA-87jr delivers pristine, professional tone perfect for vocals, streaming/VO, instruments, and more.

SELECTABLE POLAR PATTERNS, PAD AND FILTER

The WA-87jr features three selectable polar patterns: cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8. Multiple patterns allow for precise control over the focus of the mic, from intimate “close” tones to capturing the natural ambiance of a room. The built-in pad and high-pass filter increase flexibility by making it easy to capture loud sources and reducing unwanted low-frequency noise. Together, these features make the WA-87jr a highly versatile microphone suited for a wide range of recording situations.

THE COMPLETE PACKAGE FOR PROFESSIONAL RECORDINGS

The WA-87jr includes a professional shock mount to reduce noise while recording, hard mount for minimalist mounting, and leather storage case for travel and storage. Like all Warm Audio gear, every single WA-87jr is meticulously hand-tested and inspected by trained technicians with a passion for making music in Austin, TX USA.
