The Suhr Pete Thorn Signature Custom HSS is designed for guitarists who need a high-performance instrument capable of delivering professional-level tone, playability, and reliability. Pete Thorn, a renowned session guitarist who has worked with artists such as Don Henley, Chris Cornell, and Melissa Etheridge, collaborated with Suhr to create a guitar that meets the demands of both the studio and the stage. This model is a refined version of his signature guitar, optimised for high-output rock tones and precision performance.

At the core of this guitar is the Suhr SSH+ humbucker, a high-output pickup known for its clarity, sustain, and powerful sound. Whether playing soaring leads or heavy rhythm parts, this pickup ensures articulation and punch in any mix. Complementing it are two Suhr V63 single-coil pickups, delivering classic Strat-style tones with warmth and definition. The built-in Suhr SSCII noise reduction system eliminates unwanted hum while preserving the guitar's natural tone, making it ideal for both clean and overdriven settings.

The PT Signature Custom HSS features a carefully selected alder body for a balanced and resonant tone. The roasted maple neck provides enhanced stability and resistance to temperature and humidity changes, ensuring reliability in any playing environment. The ebony fingerboard offers smooth playability with a compound radius of 10"-14", making it comfortable for both chord work and fast lead playing. Jumbo stainless-steel frets provide durability and effortless bending, while the custom Pete Thorn 60's Soft V neck profile strikes a perfect balance between vintage feel and modern comfort.

For players who rely on expressive whammy bar techniques, the FU-Tone bridge is a standout feature. This premium floating bridge is designed for superior tuning stability, featuring a solid brass block and titanium components. It is blocked for dive-only operation, allowing for smooth pitch shifts while maintaining stability. Additionally, the integrated D-Tuna allows quick drop tuning, making it easy to switch between standard and drop-D tuning on the fly.

Other premium features include Suhr locking tuners for enhanced tuning stability and quick string changes. The guitar comes with a durable hardshell case for protection and transport. Whether on tour, in the studio, or performing live, the Suhr Pete Thorn Signature Custom HSS delivers professional quality, reliability, and unmatched versatility.
