Caroline Kilobyte™-2000 – Glitchy, Lo-Fi Delay with Tap Tempo & Effects Loop

The Caroline Kilobyte™-2000 represents the evolved form of a cult-classic lo-fi delay, originally introduced in 2013. Rather than sanitizing the PT-2399 chip or masking it to sound "analog," this version fully embraces and exaggerates its bandwidth-limited, frequency-compromised charm for a delay tone that's unapologetically raw and unique.

Key enhancements include the “Invader” repeater preamp, which pushes repeats up to 5x harder than before without affecting the dry signal, and a new “Sharpness” control to dial in the character of the preamp. Features like tap tempo, trails bypass, and lush internal modulation offer modern flexibility, while the signature “Havoc” runaway footswitch now includes a controllable intensity setting.

A newly added effects loop allows for creative routing—add pedals only to the repeats or extract a 100% wet signal for studio or live experimentation.
